AIOC raised oil export from Azerbaijan in January-April 20065

In January-April 2006 the Azerbaijan International Operational Company (AIOC) developing the offshore block Azeri-Chirag Gyuneshli (ACG) exported 5.506m tons oil of the Azeri Light brand from the contract area or which is for 2.1762m tons more as compare 2005.

In January-April 2006 2,333 m tons of oil was transported via the Baku-Supsa pipeline (the western route) against 2.283 m tons in 2005, while 1.334m tons of oil fell to the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline (the northern route) against 460.93k tons in 2005, AIOC told Trend . The Company shipped 1,839m tons of oil in the Georgian direction - the Batumi port over this period.

In April 2006 AIOC exported 1,469m tons or 576.261 tons more as compared 2005. A total of 604.3k tons fell to the Baku-Supsa pipeline against 567,9k tons in 2005.
