Russia Intends to Supply Electricity to  Georgia via   Azerbaijan: Azerenergy’s Vice President

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / 'Russian Unified Electricity System' Joint-Stock Company intends to supply electricity to Georgia via Azerbaijan. Currently talks are being held between the Russian Company and Azerbaijan's Azerenergy JSC on this issue, said the Vice President of Azerenergy, Marlen Askerov, at the press-conference on 21 July.

The Russian Company manages Georgian high-voltage and distributing networks. The Company intends to transport electricity via Azerbaijan to sell electricity and supply its networks.

Presently Russia is providing electricity to Azerbaijan for being used in the Country. Azerbaijan and Russia exchange electricity.
