Azerbaijani government agencies' interest in consulting services growing despite pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic COVID-19 didn’t weaken the consulting services market, but, on the contrary, raised its importance, Director of RBC Consulting company Rashad Rahimov, told Trend.

“In view of the pandemic and the resulting restrictions on the physical presence of employees in the workplace, it seemed that the demand for services might decline. However, over 2020, the number of requests from various business entities has increased by more than 30 percent, and there are currently about 40 potential automation tasks in more than 15 companies,” Rahimov said.

“In general, the current events, both around the world and in Azerbaijan, had a multidirectional impact on the IT consulting market. As expected, some customers picked up the trend of reducing costs due to the abandonment of some services, while others, on the contrary, began to turn to consultants to get help in optimizing their business,” the director noted.

Rahimov also stressed that government customers has recently increased their interest in consulting services.

It is mainly about consumers of consulting in the field of maintaining innovative technologies and assessing the regulatory impact on the consulting market.

"A prerequisite for a consulting company in the market is its readiness for transformation. Despite the fact that some people don’t turn to consulting services, the interest in this area is quite high and its profits are gradually growing," Rahimov added.

RBC Consulting is a company providing complex software solutions for automating and improving business processes of enterprises and banks based on enterprise management information systems.
