CBI shares data on value of GDP in Iran's services sector

The value of the gross domestic product (GDP) in Iran’s services sector (trade, restaurant, transport, communication, monetary and financial institutions, professional and private, public, and so on) amounted to 3.43 quadrillion rials (about $81.8 billion) over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the report of Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the report, no change was recorded in the value of GDP, compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020). So, the value of GDP in the services sector amounted to about 3.43 quadrillion rials (about $81.8 billion) in the preceding Iranian year.

Moreover, the share of the services sector in Iran's gross domestic product was 55.8 percent within the last Iranian year, the report said.

As reported, the value of Iran's GDP increased by 3.6 percent in the last Iranian year, compared to the preceding Iranian year. So, the value of the GDP amounted to 6.35 quadrillion rials (about $151 billion).

Excluding oil, this figure was 5.5 quadrillion rials (about $131 billion).
