The head of the Tax Inspection Department of the Iranian National Tax Administration (INTA) announced the launch of a "car tax collection” website, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
Car and motorcycle owners, before transferring their plates, must pay taxes with the new tax collection website, Hadi Khani said.
The car tax collection system is currently being launched in Semnan province and will be operational throughout the country in the coming weeks.
Recently, the head of the Iranian National Tax Administration (INTA), Davoud Manzour announced that according to the new tax regulation, over 550,000 luxury car owners will be obliged to pay car tax.
The tax administration will send a text message to the owners of luxury cars worth more than $238,000.
