Kazakhstan’s trade with the countries of North, South Americas has amounted to $3.2 billion over the period from January through December 2021, which is 39.1 percent more than $2.3 billion over the same period of last year, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Kazakhstan’s trade with the US amounted to $2.2 billion, which is 30.7 percent more than during the same period of last year ($1.6 billion). Kazakhstan’s export to the US was $872.1 million, whereas import was $1.3 billion.
Trade with Canada amounted to $495.9 million over the reporting period of 2021, which is 34.1 percent more than during the same period of 2020. Kazakhstan’s export to Canada was $410.1 million, whereas import was $85.8 million.
Furthermore, bilateral trade with Mexico amounted to $170.2 million, which is 2 times more than during the same period of 2020 ($85.02 million). Kazakh export to Mexico amounted to $19.1 million, whereas import was $151.03 million.
Kazakhstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $101.5 billion over the period from January through December 2021, which indicates an increase of 17.3 percent as compared to $86.4 billion during the same period last year.
