Azerbaijan will soon discuss plans to introduce digital television broadcasting in Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) member countries, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry's Radio Frequencies Administration reported.
The issue will be discussed during the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) seminar on digital broadcasting in Kyrgyzstan on Aug. 24-25.
Participants will also discuss advanced digital broadcasting tests.
An Azerbaijani delegation will attend the RCC Digital Broadcasting Coordination Group's twelfth meeting on Aug. 27. Participants will review the coordination of frequency assignments.
The group will continue to work on finalizing draft recommendations to coordinate newly and modify previously planned frequency assignments and allotments in the 174-230 MHz frequency bands between RCC communications administrations.
