Sazz company has built the first Pre 5G network operating in the TD-LTE standard in Baku, a source in the company told Trend March 7.
The work is currently underway to optimize the network, which is expected to be launched by the end of March, according to the source.
“The TD-LTE network currently covers the center of Baku,” the source said. “The company has installed six base stations. Data transfer speed in the TD-LTE network reaches 100 Mbps. User modems to connect to the network will be offered as soon as the network is put into commercial operation. In addition, by the middle of the year, outdoor modems and handheld TD-LTE MiFi devices will be supplied to the market.”
The TD-LTE network will initially cover the central part of Baku, and by the end of the first half of the year, the whole territory of the capital and settlements of Absheron peninsula.
The Sazz company said earlier that its long-term plans included increasing the bandwidth of the network to 1 Gbps.
