The Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center (MUIC) and the Association of Technology Parks of the Republic of Korea have signed a cooperation agreement, UzDaily reported.
The document reflects the joint plan of the parties to implement a long-term strategic partnership in the information and communication technologies and to develop a start-up ecosystem.
The signing of the memorandum will allow the parties begin implementing a number of agreements that were reached in July this year during the visit of representatives of the Association of Technology Parks of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan.
In particular, this covers involvement of the leading experts of the Association in the development of a concept of a technology park under the MUIC, its construction in Tashkent, as well as the preparation of provisions on management of the technology park.
Establishment of research laboratories, R&D centers, co-working spaces and other components of the innovation ecosystem has been envisaged within the technology park.
