Delta Telecom to expand partnership with Iran's telecom market

The Iranian telecommunications market is very big and has demands, which we can meet, and there are significant opportunities for us, Azerbaijani Delta Telecom Company's CEO Rufat Talibov told Trend.

Talibov made the remarks on the sidelines of the 25th Iran International Electronic, Computer & E-Commerce Exhibition

"Delta Telecom is the biggest telecommunication company, not only in Azerbaijan but in Caucasus and the region, so it needs to be present at any exhibition such as this one," Talibov said.

“Delta Telecom is in partnership with its neighboring and friendly countries such as Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and European countries as well,” he added.

Speaking of the company's partnership with Iran, Talibov said that it is providing certain internet capacities to the Islamic Republic.

“So we have partnership with Iranian companies, and we would like to expand the area of partnership," he added.

“Providing Internet capacity and transit channels are among the areas of our cooperation with Iran,” he said. “Delta Telecom is providing some transit channels from Azerbaijan's Astara, and transit channel IP Access to Iranian Telecom operators and some other companies as well.”

“We already have agreements with Telecommunication Infrastructure Company (TIC),” he said, adding that Delta Telecom has been cooperating with TIC for 6-7 years already.
