Azerbaijan, Baku/corr. Trend S.Babayeva / In January to July 2007 the State investments into the development of IT sphere in Azerbaijan totaled AZN 17200,9, or 0.8% more than 2006. The funds were directed at the reconstruction of communications lines, construction of city and fibre-optic mains, a source stated at the Ministry of Communication and IT of Azerbaijan.
In this period Aztelekom invested AZN 10013,1 in the development of the communications sector, Baki Telefon Rabitasi - AZN 4090,8, Teleradio - AZN 324,1, Azerpocht - AZN 1849,3.
In 2007 the Ministry plans to invest AZN 29mln. The State investments to IT sphere in 2006 made up AZN 42mln.
