Uzbekistan plans to develop a new type of visa in accordance with the decree of the country’s president ‘On additional measures for the development of the tourism sector with strict observance of the requirements of the enhanced sanitary and epidemiological safety regime’, Trend reports with reference to the local UzNews.uz News Agency’s website.
"Within two months, an instruction was given to develop a new type of immigrant visa in Uzbekistan called “Uzbekistan my second home”. This is a new type of visa support," said Shukhrat Isakov, head of the department of the State Committee on Tourism Development.
The main purpose of the new visa is to attract high-income people with high academic knowledge, life skills and abilities to live in Uzbekistan.
"They can live alone or with their families, thereby investing their knowledge in our country," added Isakov.
