By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:
Kazakhstan will organize the local industrial assembly of harvesters and tractors under a respective agreement signed between German CLAAS and the machinery’s official importer ST AGRO operating in the country, the company told Trend.
According to the company, for the assembly, those models of agricultural machinery will be selected that have proven themselves in the best way among the country's farmers.
As reported, HORSCH, a German producer of tillage and seeding instruments will also take part in the project’s implementation. So, Petropavlovsk city, Northern Kazakhstan region was chosen as the base for the location of the production site. It’s expected that due to the local assembly of agricultural machines, end users will have more favorable financial conditions for the equipment’s purchase.
The company noted that the signing of this agreement is an important step in the process of providing Kazakhstan with high-tech, reliable, and productive agricultural equipment assembled directly in the country, and will also allow the local farmers to increase agricultural indicators such as productivity, yields, and, as a result, the overall profitability of the business.
In accordance with the agreement terms, along with XERION tractors, and industrial large-node assembly of TUCANO combines and HORSCH seed drills is planned. Based on the production targets, the plant will assemble TUCANO harvester models with APS tangential threshing system in combination with a classic straw walker or APS HYBRID rotary separation system.
Given the increasing spread of digital technologies and methods of high-precision farming, all harvesters assembled in Kazakhstan will be equipped with the modern CLAAS TELEMATICS system, which allows you to effectively control the quality and volume of the harvested crop, as well as monitor the operation and current technical characteristics of individual harvesters and the entire fleet of equipment.
Thus, thanks to local production, the farmers will be able to use a wide range of machines, which are maximally adapted to the local conditions of agribusiness, at more affordable prices.
"Thanks to the assembly localization project, the cost of CLAAS and HORSCH machines will be reduced for the customers, while maintaining the highest quality of the products of the manufacturers,” the company said. “Financing will also be available to the customers at the most favorable bank rates. Moreover, an integral part of the project is the further comprehensive development of services and supply systems for the spare parts by the exclusive importer of CT AGRO.”
CLAAS was founded in 1913 as a family business entity and is now one of the world's leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery.
The company, headquartered in the German city of Harsewinkel, is the European market leader for combined harvesters. CLAAS also remains the world leader in the field of self-propelled forage harvesters.
In Azerbaijan, the CLAAS brand is represented by 4S company, which provides comprehensive support in the purchase of agricultural machinery, original spare parts, and service.
