BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 24. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Jask port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), increased by 15.2 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, 33,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 7th month.
Of this, 24,400 tons were exported and 8,630 tons were imported through the Jask port over the 7th month.
“Some 24,400 tons of essential products, 220 tons of small and assorted goods and 8,410 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Jask port in the 7th month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.
In general, about 11.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.66 million tons were loaded and 5.94 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
