Kazakh government approves draft concept of innovative development till 2020

The Kazakh government approved the draft concept of innovative development till 2020 on Tuesday, Kazinform reported. The document was presented by Industry and New Technologies Minister Asset Issekeshev.
The concept was developed according to the Kazakh President's order. It is aimed at creating well-to-do society with high quality of life and focused on knowledge economy.
"The concept envisages two main issues. The first is the development of critical technologies determined following technological forecasts to response challenges of a new industrial revolution. The second issue envisages creating the innovation activity supporting system through complexity and the involvement of all elements of the innovation system," Issekeshev said.
In general total, the concept includes 50 target indicators.
"Large number of indicators corresponds to the international experience and results from necessity to cover a broad sphere of innovation activity," Issekeshev said.
