BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 7. Kazakh National Company KazMunayGas (KMG) continues measures to develop the Kashagan and Karachaganak oil and gas fields, KMG told Trend.
British Shell oil company and KMG are partners in these major oil and gas projects.
A meeting was held between the companies to discuss current issues of ensuring uninterrupted production activities within the framework of these projects, the company noted.
"Currently, systematic work is underway to effectively develop fields and implement further stages of development of the Kashagan and Karachaganak projects," the company said.
KMG is a Kazakh operator for the exploration, production, processing and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the interests of the state in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
KMG was established by merging the National oil and gas companies “Kazakhoil” CJSC and “Oil and Gas Transportation CJSC” on the basis of a decree of the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 20, 2002.
