ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 28. Turkish investors are interested in considering prospects for the implementation of various projects in the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan, including the field of maritime services and the processing of solid waste, Trend reports.
This was stated during a meeting between the head of the executive power of the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Nogayev, and a member of the management board of the Turkish company Albayrak Holding, Ibrahim Karaca, as well as with the Consul General of the Turkish Republic in the city of Aktau, Sabri Alptekin.
Albayrak Holding is a major holding company in Türkiye, with approximately 80 companies and brands operating in more than 20 sectors, including real estate, industry, logistics, media and tourism. The company has successfully implemented many important projects such as the construction of railway stations, subways, hospitals, factories, shopping centers and many residential projects.
In the Mangistau region, 86 enterprises with Turkish participation are registered, operating in various sectors of the economy, including the construction of residential buildings, restaurants, and food delivery.
In particular, in the tourism sector, investment projects totaling more than 200 billion tenge (about $415.6 million) are being implemented with the participation of Turkish investors in the period from 2020 to 2023.
At the end of the meeting, Nurlan Nogaev noted that the Mangystau region is ready to support all initiatives that help attract investment to the region, create jobs, and generally increase the socio-economic development of the region.
Türkiye is Kazakhstan's fourth-largest trading partner. Last year, trade turnover reached $6.3 billion, and for seven months of this year, this figure amounted to $3.6 billion.
