ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 6. Loading on the Kazakhstan Railways network (KTZ, national company) amounted to 213.8 million tons from January through October 2023, which is 2.1 tons higher than in the same period last year, Trend reports.
According to the data of KTZ, over 138 million tons were transported by rail throughout the republic. Exports increased by 7.1 percent to 75.7 million tons.
During the reporting period, over 87.3 million tons of coal were loaded. Including within the republic - 61.2 million tons.
Approximately 9.5 million tons of grain were transported, this is 1.2 percent higher than last year, of which 7.7 million tons were exported. 2.5 million tons (+6.4 percent) of grinding products were loaded, including 1.9 million tons (+9.5 percent) for export.
Over 10 months, the loading of chemical fertilizers improved by 5 percent (to 3.4 million tons), iron ore by 5.6 percent (to 17.3 million tons), and construction products cargo by 6 percent (to 14.4 million tons). Throughout the republic, the loading of construction products has increased 10 times.
Operating cargo turnover for 10 months of this year increased by 7.2 percent and amounted to 224.2 billion t-km.
