BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6. The territorial divisions of the Antimonopoly Service reported the stabilization of food prices in Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports with reference to the Antimonopoly Regulation Service of Kyrgyzstan.

The average prices in Kyrgyzstan for vegetable oil are 127-145 som ($1.5-1.7) per liter, sugar from 60 som ($0.7) on loyalty cards in retail chains and up to 80 som ($0.9) on the markets. Locally produced first-grade flour costs 1,650 som ($20) per 50-kilogram bag, while the price of imported flour varies from 35 som ($0.39) per kg to 40 som ($0.48), depending on the grade of flour.

Against the backdrop of a new crop of seasonal vegetables, prices for such vegetables as potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, tomatoes, and cucumbers are declining.

Price monitoring is carried out by territorial subdivisions in trade facilities (retail chains, shops, etc.) and markets in order to assess the situation and prevent unreasonable price increases.
