BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. The share of investments in Kyrgyzstan's mining industry in the total volume of its investments declined from January through May 2022, Trend reports citing the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
According to the EDB, the share of investments the mining sector of the total volume of investments in Kyrgyzstan in the first five months of this year fell to 20.6 percent from 24.7 percent a year earlier.
"Total investments during the reporting period remained at the same level as last year. The volume of capital investments remained practically unchanged compared to January through May 2021, and its growth amounted to 0.7 percent," the bank said.
Meanwhile, the growth of investments during the reporting period was recorded in industry, energy and transport sector of Kyrgyzstan.
