BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29. Kyrgyzstan's car fuel imports totaled 128.066 million liters from January to April 2023, decreasing 54.7 percent compared to the same period in 2022 when it reached 282.481 million liters, Trend reports.
As the data from the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan shows, the value of these imports amounted to $43.989 million, which represents a 66 percent decline compared to the corresponding months of 2022 ($129.876 million).
During this period, Kyrgyzstan imported car fuel from three countries. The primary supplier was Russia, with a total of 106.208 million liters sent to Kyrgyzstan.
This volume of imports decreased by 61.4 percent compared to 275.088 liters imported from January to April 2022. The value of these imports equaled $35.963 million, declining by 71.3 percent compared to the same months in 2022 when it was $125.359 million.
Furthermore, Kyrgyzstan imported 21.702 million liters of car fuel from Kazakhstan for $7.942 million. The volume of the imports increased 20.3 times year-on-year, while the value increased by 14 times.
Additionally, 155,300 liters of car fuel for $83,500 were imported from Belarus.
In the period from January to April 2023, the overall trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan amounted to $3.9 billion, increasing 25.5 percent year-on-year.
Exports from Kyrgyzstan reached $616.4 million, growing by 18.9 percent compared to the same period of 2022, while imports amounted to $3.2 billion, showing a rise of 26.8 percent.
