BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 19. Kyrgyzstan imported 17,644 passenger cars from China from January through February 2024, which is 13.3 times more than 1,323 cars from January through February 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the value of imports reached $299.464 million, increasing by 9.1 times compared to $32.779 million in the same months of 2023.
China was the country from which Kyrgyzstan imported the most passenger cars during the reported period. Overall, Kyrgyzstan imported 27,787 passenger cars from January through February 2024, which is 2.3 times more than in the same months of 2023 (12,001 cars).
The value of the imports amounted to $477.263 million, increasing by 2.4 times compared to $196.473 million in January-February 2023.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $2.255
billion in the first two months of 2024, up by 28.3 percent
compared to the same period in 2023 ($1.758 billion).
Exports totaled $307.5 million, increasing by 18.4 percent from
January–February 2023 ($259.726 million). Imports amounted to
$1.947 billion, increasing by 30 percent, compared to $1.498
billion from January through February 2023.
