Turkmenistan presents achievements of its economy at IMPORT EXPO-2018 in China

The Turkmen delegation is taking part in the International Exhibition of Imported Goods IMPORT EXPO-2018 in China, the Golden Age of Turkmenistan website reported.
The first Chinese international exhibition of imported goods is held at the Shanghai International Expo Center, where more than 80 countries present their achievements and products.
The President of China Xi Jinping made a speech at the opening ceremony of the IMPORT EXPO-2018 exhibition, which was attended by the heads of foreign countries and governments. The event was held under the auspices of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization,
The delegation of Turkmenistan includes 20 people representing the areas of trade and business, health, agriculture, textile industry, chemical industry.
The national exposition, covering an area of 81 square meters, consisted of five specialized pavilions introducing the trade and economic, investment, scientific, technical, recreational and cultural potential of Turkmenistan, as well as the aspects of the strategy of innovative development, success in implementing state programs for import substitution and export orientation.
The special attention of visitors was attracted by the stand of the textile industry, where the eco-friendly fabrics, clothing, accessories, knitwear, national embroidery patterns and others were presented.
In the "Agricultural and food products" zone, visitors got acquainted with the products of agricultural manufacturers and enterprises of the processing industry of Turkmenistan. The great interest was aroused by the exposition of the national services and goods sector, including the Turkmen business community.
The innovations of the health industry, the advanced methods and services in this field were demonstrated at the "Medical Equipment and Medicinal and Health-Improving Products" pavilion.
On the sidelines of the forum, the meetings with potential Chinese partners were held, the presentations were organized in order to identify priority areas for the combination of mutual interests.
The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in a parallel session of this international forum dedicated to trade and innovations, as well as in the Eurasian Seminar on Trade in Services, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and the International Trade Center in Shanghai.
