Members of a delegation from the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, headed by its chairman Vyacheslav Lebedev and Chairman of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan Buritosh Mustafayev discussed the current status and prospects of cooperation between the legal and judicial authorities of Uzbekistan and Russia, the Uzbek National News Agency (UzA) reported on Thursday.
During the meeting it was noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia is developing in many areas, particularly in the judicial system. An important legal basis for this is the agreements reached at the meetings of the heads of states of the two countries.
Chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia praised the results of large scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan to ensure the rule of law and social justice and the protection of rights and legal interests of citizens.
