The National Bank of Uzbekistan (National Bank) became the market leader among the Uzbek banks in terms of loans from January through October 2021, Trend reports citing the Uzbek Central Bank.
The volume of loans of the National Bank for the corresponding period amounted to 69.4 trillion soums ($6.4 billion), which is an increase of 8.9 percent compared to the same period in 2020 (63.7 trillion soums, or $5.9 billion).
On second place by this indicator is settled Uzpromstroybank, the volume of loans of which amounted to 42.4 trillion soums ($3.9 billion).
From January through October 2021, the volume of all loans issued by banks of Uzbekistan amounted to 316.2 trillion soums ($29.2 billion), which is an increase of 18.4 percent compared to the same period of the last year (266.9 trillion soums or $24.7 billion).
