Uzbek authorities will take measures to increase the energy intensity of the economy by 20 percent and reduce the volume of emissions of harmful gases into the atmosphere by 10 percent until 2026 by actively introducing green economy technologies, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Media Outlets.
For this, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan will implement programs for expanding and supporting the use of renewable energy sources, improving the energy efficiency of social, commercial and administrative buildings by March 1, 2022.
The Ministry of Innovative Development will introduce a program for creating technology for obtaining, storing and transferring hydrogen energy by May 1, 2022.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction will implement programs for the transition to a green economy and energy conservation, as well as create a system to stimulate the production and operation of electric vehicles by June 1, 2022.
