BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. Uzbek Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine JSC obtained tungsten from the new Ingichka deposit, located in the country’s Samarkand region,Trend reports via the JSC.
Almalyk MMC carried out work to process industrial waste from this deposit and to organize the production of new types of export-oriented products with high added value by extracting tungsten concentrate from these wastes.
As a result of the processing of waste from the Ingichka deposit, the production of 100 tons of tungsten per year will be achieved.
Previously, Uzbekistan’s Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) has received a patent for a method for extracting platinum.
Almalyk MMC’s researchers already have plans to produce other rare and precious metals as well.
