BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 12. The total number of newly established enterprises in Uzbekistan from January through May 2023 amounted to 40,100 (excluding farms and peasant farms), Trend reports.
According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency, some 14,814 enterprises engaged in trade and commerce have been created in the country in the reporting year.
The list goes as follows:
- Industry: 6,691 units.
- Agriculture, forestry, and fishing: 4,721 units.
- Accommodation and food services: 2,460 units.
- Construction: 2,128 units.
- Transportation and storage: 1,908 units.
- Information and communication: 1,335 units.
- Healthcare and social services: 629 units.
- Other sectors: 5,414 units.
Meanwhile, according to the latest data, Uzbekistan's industrial enterprises manufactured products worth 179 trillion soums ($15.6 billion) from January through April 2023.
