Uzbekistan's Saneg shares its production volume in 2023

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 1. Uzbekistan's Saneg (the largest private oil and gas company) produced 594,600 tons of liquid hydrocarbons in 2023, Trend reports.

According to the company, the production volume increased by 96,200 tons compared to 498,400 tons in 2020.

In addition, a total of 46 new wells were put on stream after drilling in the Saneg-managed fields in 2023. Another 248 wells, located from Uzbekistan's Andijan to Ustyurt, have undergone geological and technical interventions.

Also, Saneg increased oil production at Chegara (nine-fold increase in production), Sardob (15-fold increase in production), Yangi Karatepa (38-fold increase), as well as North Urtabulak, Sharkiy, Garbiy Toshli, and Khodjaobad fields in 2023.

Thus, the sales of petroleum products grew to 970,000 tons, which is 54.8 percent more than in 2022. The main petroleum products included diesel fuel, gasoline, and bitumen.

Meanwhile, Saneg accounts for around 80 percent of Uzbekistan's oil production and approximately 22 percent of proven gas reserves. In 2022, the total volume of oil output was 586.4 tons, with 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas. The company employs more than 10,000 people in Karshi, Mubarek, Andijan, Navoi, and Ustyurt production facilities.
