Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad congratulated Alexander Lukashenko on re-election as Belarusian President, ISNA reported.
"I sincerely congratulate you on re-election as President," Ahmadinejad said.
"This election was another golden page in the glorious history of the great nation of Belarus and shows their support for your plans. I hope that in your new term in office our growing bilateral ties will be further strengthened and mutual and bilateral relations will be expanded as much as possible," Ahmadinejad said in a message.
Alexander Lukashenko won 79.7 percent of the vote count in Belarusian election held on Sunday.
