Iran has created a $100 million line of credit to expand its exports to Egypt, econews.ir website quotes Mehdi Ghazanfari, Iran's industry, mines and trade minister as saying.
Cars, cement, tiles, medication and technological and engineering services are the spheres, on which Iran is ready to cooperate with Egypt.
Although dealings between the two countries' governments have not been optimal in the past, the Egyptian and Iranian people have continued their friendly relations, Mr. Gazanfari, who is on a visit to Egypt, said. The minister predicted the two countries' ties will be stronger in the coming years.
Trade turnover between Iran and Egypt in 2011 amounted to $100 million, and the trade minister hopes this figure will increase in the future.
