Iran's Foreign Ministry has today summoned the ambassadors of EU countries, Fars reported.
The ambassadors of Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Portugal and Netherlands in Tehran were summoned to Iran's Foreign Ministry, in connection with sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic. The ambassadors were all summoned to the Ministry separately.
The EU formally imposed an oil embargo on Iran and agreed to a freeze on the assets of the Iranian Central Bank on January 23, but existing contracts will be honored until July 1.
