Iran-Turkey railway turnover increases

Turkey sent almost 93,000 tons of goods to Iran via railway in the first four months of 2012, while Iran's railway shipments to its neighbor reached 61,460 tons.

The transport of goods between the two neighbors increased by 67 percent from 2010 to 2011, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports.

Other railway transportation data includes 25,470 passengers who traveled from Iran to Turkey via railway last year and 4,108 visitors who traveled to Turkey in the first two months of the current year.
