Iran, Lebanon parliament speakers discuss latest developments

(IRNA) - Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel voiced Iran's readiness to send humanitarian aid to the Lebanese government and nation.

In a telephone talk to Lebanon's parliament speaker Nabih Berri, Haddad-Adel reiterated support for the resistance of people of Lebanon against the attacks of Israelis, reports Trend.

He hoped the Lebanese nation would succeed in its confrontation with the Israeli regime.

Condoling the Lebanese parliament and people, particularly the injured and families of the Israeli assaults' victims, he wished victory for Lebanon against the Zionists and their allies.

Stressing the role of Berri in unity among different groups of Lebanon, he underlined unity against the Israeli atrocities.

Referring to the latest developments in Lebanon, Berri said the Israeli enemy has kept on attacking civilian areas.

Berri said 47 civilians have so far been martyred and more than 130 injured.

He added that Israel has targeted civilian regions and the infrastructure of Lebanon including bridges and hotels.

He pointed out the resistance of the Lebanese people against the atrocities of the Israeli regime, hailing Iran's stances in this regard.

Berri stressed unity among the nation of Lebanon.
