(IRNA) - Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mikhail Kamynin on hoped that Iranian and Iraqi presidents' meeting would be fruitful, reports Trend.
"Tehran can help solve Baghdad's domestic problems and can contribute to reconstruction of installations and guaranteeing security on the Iraqi borders," said Kamynin in an interview with reporters in Moscow on Thursday.
Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Iraqi counterpart Jalal Talabani are to meet in Tehran on Saturday and hold talks on a host of issues. Syrian president Bashar al-Assad may also take part in the meeting.
Political experts consider the meeting as "highly significant", believing that it would effectively help restoration of stability in Iraq.
