Iran calls on int’l companies to invest in transport infrastructure

Iran has called on international companies to invest in the projects aimed at developing the country's transport infrastructure.

Iranian Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Ali Nourzad said several companies from countries such as India, Japan, China and South Korea have had cooperation with Iran on developing the Islamic Republic's transport sector, Mehr news agency reported June 6.

He made the remarks addressing the 7th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum.

The official added that the involvement of domestic and foreign private sectors in Iran's development projects will increase those projects' efficiency.
