EU antitrust regulators are set to open a full-scale investigation into Boeing’s (BA.N) $4.75 billion bid for a controlling stake in Brazilian planemaker Embraer’s (EMBR3.SA) commercial aircraft arm, people familiar with the matter said on Monday, Trend with reference to Reuters reports.
The European Commission’s current review of the deal is scheduled to end on Oct. 4.
A full-scale investigation could take up to five months and raise pressure on Boeing to offer concessions to address competition concerns.
