Egypt opposes a military action against Syria and will not take part in it, Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy says, dpa reported.
"Egypt stresses clearly that it will not participate in any military strike and strongly opposes it in line with its positions against foreign military intervention in Syria," according to a foreign ministry statement.
Fahmy adds that Egypt condemns the use of chemical weapons by any party and calls on the international community to hold those responsible accountable after the UN inspectors present their report.
