( dpa )- Israeli police, military police and security services arrested a career army non-commissioned officer on suspicion he passed military information to the Lebanese Hezbollah guerrilla group, Israeli authorities said Monday night.
The NCO, who was not identified, was arrested one month ago, for allegedly giving Hezbollah information on Israeli troop deployments, in return for being allowed to smuggle drugs into Israel from Lebanon.
Two other suspects, a resident of Nazareth and a resident of a village in northern Israel, were also nabbed while in possession of two kilogrammes of heroin, with an estimated street value of one million shekels (350,000 dollars.)
An indictment will probably be filed against the suspects in the coming days, Israeli media reported.
