( Accecss Hollywood )- An inquest has begun in Leeds, England over the death of Jason Rae, the husband of former Grammy nominee, Corinne Bailey Rae.
Jason Rae was found dead in an apartment last Saturday in the northern British city.
A pathologist's report suggested a "suspected drugs overdose," Deputy Assistant Coroner Roger Chapman said at the inquest, according to the BBC.
No signs of trauma, violence of natural disease signs were found according to Detective Superintendent Steve Payne, the BBC additionally reported.
Further tests and investigations are expected in the coming weeks, but Jason Rae's body has been released for burial.
Jason Rae, 31, was a saxophonist in local ensemble, The Haggis Horns, who previously worked with Grammy winner Mark Ronson.
Jason and Corinne Bailey Rae married in 2001.
The singer's record label released a statement over the weekend.
"EMI Records would like to offer its sincere condolences to Corinne Bailey Rae and the Rae family at this tragic time."
