remained atop the North American box-office rankings for a second straight
weekend with three-day ticket sales of 16.1 million dollars, according to
preliminary studio estimates issued Sunday.

Friday-Sunday period against formidable new premiers this weekend.
The House Bunny stars Anna Faris as an ex-Playboy Bunny who takes the job of
house mother in a university sorority. The comedy had a three-day debut haul of
15.1 million dollars.
Action remake Death Race, starring Jason Statham and Joan Allen, opened in
third place with a Friday-Sunday gross of 12.3 million dollars, dpa reported.
