Two car bombings in southwestern Baghdad killed at least six people Sunday and wounded 32 others, an Interior Ministry official said.

The parked cars detonated within minutes of each other, according to the official. The attacks occurred shortly before Iftar, the evening meal at which Muslims break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan, dpa reported.

It was not immediately clear how far the cars were from each other. The official said one vehicle was near a market.
