Turkey will treat 40 people who were wounded in Friday's bomb attack in the neighboring Iraqi city of Mosul, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Sunday.

A plane was expected to fly to Mosul on Sunday and bring the injured to hospitals in the Turkish capital of Ankara for treatment, the report said, citing a statement by Turkey's Directorate General for Emergency Management, Xinhua reported.

In addition, 200 parcels of foodstuff would be sent to the northern Iraqi city, it said.
