Turkey Saturday expressed pleasure with release of Iraqi election results, saying Iraqi government should be formed as soon as possible to solve country's problems by using political means, a Turkish official statement said, Xinhua reported.

Turkey Saturday expressed pleasure with release of Iraqi election results, saying Iraqi government should be formed as soon as possible to solve country's problems by using political means, a Turkish official statement said, Xinhua reported.
   The statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry said another important stage regarding stability efforts, political process and democratization in Iraq would leave behind after Iraqi federal court approves results in the next couple of days.
   Results announced by the Independent High Electoral Commission showed that former Prime Minister Ayad Allawi's Iraqiya alliance secured 91 seats and Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki's State of Law alliance garnered 89 seats in the 325-seat Iraqi parliament.
   The statement said Turkey wishes rapid formation of Iraqi government, which would reflect the free will of Iraqi people, for solution to country's problems using political means.
   It added that Turkey has full confidence that Iraqi people would overcome difficulties thanks to their unity, tolerance and common sense, and it also congratulated Iraqi people on their democratic stance.
