Three people infected by West Nile Fever have died in Turkey after an outbreak of the virus was reported earlier Wednesday, the Turkish newspaper Sabah reported, quoting the country's Health Ministry.
Cases of infection by the fever were reported in five Turkish provinces, the newspaper writes.
West Nile virus is a viral disease carried by mosquitoes. It is haracterized by inflammation of the cerebral membranes, systemic lesion of the mucous membranes, and swollen lymph nodes.
