A strong explosion occurred in Istanbul during the construction of the subway line, the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet said June 1.
The cause of the explosion was a leak of natural gas, according to preliminary data.
Currently, residents of nearby houses are being evacuated from the area of the accident.
Firefighters and rescue workers arrived at the scene. The explosion caused no casualties.
