Turkey exported carpets to international markets worth over $2.05 billion from January through October 2020, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
According to the ministry, Turkey’s export of carpets made up 1.5 percent of the country's total export in the past ten months of this year.
In October 2020, Turkey exported carpets worth over $287.3 million to global markets, which is 12.9 percent more compared to the same month of 2019, the ministry said.
Turkey’s carpet exports in October this year accounted for 1.7 percent of the country's total exports.
Over the past 12 months (from October 2019 through October 2020), Turkey exported carpets in the amount of more than $2.53 billion abroad, the ministry said.
