Turkey reveals cargo shipment volumes via its Tekirdag port

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21

Some 3.2 million tons of cargo were transshipped through Turkey’s Tekirdag port from January through February 2021, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on April 21.

The ships flying the Turkish flag handled 44,535 tons of goods via Tekirdag port while ships flying the flags of other countries – 3.2 million tons.

The ministry stressed that 2.06 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish port from January through February 2021.

Some 58.3 million tons of cargo were transshipped through the Turkish ports from January through February 2021.

The ships flying the Turkish flag transported 4.9 million tons of goods via Tekirdag port while ships flying the flags of other countries – 53.6 million tons.

During the reporting period, the Turkish ports transited 11.9 million tons of cargo.

The Turkish ports handled 29.2 million tons of cargo in February 2021.

The ships flying the Turkish flag transported 2.2 million tons while the ships flying the flags of other countries – 26.9 million tons.

The Turkish ports transited 5.8 million tons of cargo in February.
