President Hassan Rouhani appointed Mohammad-Ali Shahidi as Vice President and head of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Foundation, Fars news agency reported.
Shahidi who replaced Masoud Zaribafan was Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular and Parliamentary Affairs (2005-2009).
The Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs is a governmental entity that receives its funding directly from the national budget. The Foundation gives home loans to Disabled Veterans and the families of the martyrs.
