New cash registers have been installed at all the large filling stations of Azerbaijan, the Caspel Company told Trend on Monday.

Caspel is a supplier of IBM SurePOS 100 cash registers. The SayberNet Company developed the software (SayberNet YDM POS v2.0) of devices and the Pos-service Company installed them at filling stations.

"At present the necessary equipment for the filling stations has been delivered and installed at all the country's large filling stations. The total number of new cash registers delivered to Azerbaijan is 2500," the company said.

About 90 per cent of filling stations in Azerbaijan are equipped with the new registers. The company said the complete transfer of filling stations to new cash registers is expected to be completed by late January. Currently the total number of filling stations in Azerbaijan is around 850.

The introduction of new cash registers started in accordance with the decision of the cabinet of ministers of Azerbaijan 'On the use of cash registers at filling stations in Azerbaijan".

The decision sees the registration and replacement of old registers by new electronic cash ones, so no cheques are required. These new cash registers are specially constructed and are also registered in the state register.
